11 soldiers killed, 14 injured in Boko Haram attack on military convoy
11 soldiers were killed and 14 others injured when suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked a military convoy in Borno state on October 3.
The thirty-four brave troops of 154 Task Force Battalion, including two officers, were on a patrol at Mauli-Borgozo area of the state when the suspected Boko Haram fighters unleashed terror on their convoy at about 11:25am, killing 11 and wounding 14
Eyewitnesses told newsmen that the terrorists stole eleven AK-47 rifles from the soldiers they killed, made away with an anti-aircraft gun truck, damaged a gun truck and a military lorry used in conveying officers and equipment.
The eyewitnesses said at least 15 civilians were killed in the attack.
Two soldiers were also declared missing after the attack.
