Tradegy: 56-year-old man and his girlfriend found in his home
The 56-year-old man identified as Rasaki Balogun and his girlfriend were reportedly found dead in his home located at number 16 Taiwo Oke Victory Estate in Ejigbo, Lagos State on Thursday June 20th.
The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Bala Elkana, who confirmed the incident said that on June 20th, One Akorede Balogun said to be the wife of the deceased, made a report at Iba Police Station that her husband was found dead with his girlfriend in his sitting room .
According to Elkana , Detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer Ejigbo were sent to the scene of the incident.
The man, said to be living alone while his family lives in a different place, was found dead in his pool of blood while the girlfriend was found laying on a knife dead .
The Corpses were taken to the Hospital for autopsy while the Crime scene was sealed off for forensic analysis.
Elkana further state that the identity of the woman is yet to be determined as she was picked up by the man from an unknown location two days to the incident .
The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba as directed by the Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Zubairu Muazu.
