A bank account hacker apprehended in Lagos

27-year-old Ramon Oshodi, who is notorious for hackering into people’s bank account, Automatic Teller Machine cards and Facebook account has been apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command.

Ramon was arrested by Anti-crime patrol team attached to Mushin Police Station, Olosan-Mushin Lagos on June 27th after he defrauded his victims N4.5million naira.

According to police report, he was ridding on his motocycle when he was stopped by the police patrol team who conducted a search on him and found, five ATM cards,SIM cards belonging to different individuals on him . They also found N91,000 cash on him .

When questioned, Ramon said he hacks into people’s bank account and steal their money. He confessed that after stealing his victims phones, he removes the SIM cards, works on them and then hack into their bank accounts.

He also told police that he buys stolen phones and ATM cards from Akala- Idioro, Mushin.

According to him he hacks into people’s bank accounts using informations he got from their Facebook accounts, such as their date of birth.

After his arrest, he was arraigned before a Lagos magistrate Court sitting in Ikejan on a seven-count charge of conspiracy, breach of peace, fraud ,stealing, unlawful possession of ATM cards and receiving of stolen properties .

Ramon pleaded not guilty and was granted bail of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum .

The case was adjourned to July 25th .
