He said this while expressing his dissatisfaction with the bill recongnizing June 12 as democracy day in honour of MKO Abiola which was passed by the Nigerian Government .

According to him, Nigerian government kicked against remembrance of millions of igbos killed during the civil war but choose to remember the death of one man. He insisted that biafrans will stay at home on May 30 to remeber and show respect to over 3.5 million people who were killed during the biafran war .

In a live broadcast from London, Nnamdi kanu said ,

“They passed a bill today to recognise and honour June 12 because of one man, then turn against IPOB for honouring 6 million victims of genocide and those that fought to save those of us who are alive today. “They must be mad and insane. Anybody who fails to sit at home on May 30th deserves to be stoned to death”
