Appeal Court to Deliver Judgement on President Buhari’s Qualification Friday

The Court of Appeal will this Friday, pass judgement in a suit filed against President Buhari, contesting his qualification for the 2019 Presidential election.

Judgement in the suit was reserved on Monday July 8, by a three member panel of the court of Appeal presided by Justice Atinuke Akomolafe-Wilson after listening to argument put forward by counsel to parties in the matter.

Earlier, the court held that, date for judgement will be communicated to both parties but as the 60 day time frame provided by law expires July 12, the court on Thursday communicated the date to deliver judgement to both parties as July 12.

Labaran Ismail, Kalu Kalu and Hassy El-Kuris have earlier approach the appelate court to nullify and set aside the High court Judgement.

They are challenging that the required certificates were not attached to his form CF001 submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) for clearance to contest in the presidential poll.
