BREAKING: Heavy gunshots as Shiites clash with Police by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja

Protest by members of the Islamic Movement Of Nigeira(IMN ) turned violent today as they clashed with the men of the Nigeria Police Force near Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It was gathered that Policemen were deployed to disperse protesters following reports that members of IMN were planning to burn down the ministry .

A vehicle was reportedly burnt while several Gunshots and tears were fired to disperse protesters.

The clash which caused workers , commuters and motorists to fled in fear occurred between 12pm and 1.30pm.

Members of the IMN have been protesting the continued detention of their leader Sheikh El-Zakzaky.
