BREAKING NEWS: Taraba Tribunal dismisses APC’s Petition

The Taraba State Governorship Election Tribunal sitting in Abuja, has dismissed the Petition of the All Progressive Congress, challenging the re election of Governor Darius Ishaku of the Peoples Democratic Party.

The tribunal had on 21st of March, relocated from Jalingo the state capital to Abuja over concern on the security of its members and petitioners.

The petition was dismissed due to the ruling of the Supreme Court on July 5, which upheld the Appeal Court judgment that disqualified Danladi, the APC candidate on the grounds that he made a false declaration of age.

Darius Ishaku in his reaction on his facebook page said,

Thank you Tarabans for your support and prayers. I dedicate this victory to you as my win is your win. To those who never supported me, it’s time to bury the hatchet. After all, what we seek is a peaceful and prosperous Taraba. Let’s all come together in love to make Taraba great.
