BREAKING: We don’t have Oyo-Ita’s retirement letter —Presidency

The Presidency on Monday revealed that it was not in possession of Winifred Oyo-Ita’s retirement letter .

Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, revealed this in a text message sent to Punch in response to initial reports that the embattled Head of the Civil Service of the Federation had formally informed President Muhammadu Buhari of her desire to proceed on retirement.

Thanks. We have no such letter here, in the event that such a letter exists. This is our position,” he wrote.

Oyo-Ita was recently questioned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged N3bn bribery, duty tour allowance falsification and fraud case.
