Councilor in Rivers state, rapes a female room attendant in a hotel in Abuja.

A councilor in Rivers state has been called out on Facebook, for raping a female Room attendant in a hotel in Abuja.

Facebook user, Cucmbae Uchendu, called out the Councilor on Facebook for raping a room attendant in a hotel he lodged.

The Councilor, Onwume Chetachi, was said to have grabbed and raped the victim after she came in to attend to him.

He was said to have given the victim a sum of N50,000 as compensation for his act but the victim refused his money.

The victim’s sister has since reported the incident at Abuja police command and took to the streets of Abuja with a placard seeking for justice for her sister.

According to the sister of the victim, the victim is still in the hospital receiving treatments.

Honourable CHETACHI ONWUME. A councillor in Rivers State, sexually molested my sister on Monday at her workplace where he lodged at gwarinpa Abuja. She went to give him his bill as he requested. He then grabbed her, strangled her and raped her. He deposited his sperm in her. Yesterday morning,having involving an activist/lawyer, he pleaded and offered a compensation of 50,000 which my sister and her lawyer refused. When the police got involved, he had disappeared. The hotel management claimed they didn’t see him leave. My sister is still in the hospital. This morning at gwarinpa police station where we reported, they said the case will be forwarded to the command where such cases are handled. He has locked his Facebook account which as at yesterday was active. We hope we get justice.
