Hardship For Nigerians As Fuel Scarcity Enters Day 2!

It has been a hard time for many Nigerians as the newly sworn in President of the country Bola Ahmed Tinubu took everyone by surprise on the 29 of May 2023 stating during his inaugural speech to the nation that there would be no more fuel subsidy.

The speech of the president triggered what many call an artificial scarcity which resulted in many petrol stations across the country closing shop on the 30 of May 2023 leaving many Nigerian commuters stranded . Many people were seen trekking to their work places and markets as transporters increased their prices as well to be able to meet up with the new petrol pump price.

This development made some Nigerians miss important appointment and some got to work and their business places very late.

Nigerians have taken to social media to air their grievances as many didn’t expect the new government to start on such foot.

As of today, the pump price which was previously ₦189.00 is now sold at different prices across the country ranging from ₦488 in Lagos to ₦750 in Zamfara state.
