‘ Lille will decide’ – Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen says after Barcelona and Arsenal make him high priority signing

Nigeria’s goal scoring sensation Victor Osimhen has revealed that his future is not in his hands after Spanish club Barcelona and English club Arsenal have prioritized him as their ‘all out’ target in the January transfer window.

Osimhen, 20, who was signed from Sporting Chaleroi, and who also played for Wolfsburg, has scored 9 goals in 17 matches across all competitions for top club, Lille, with two assists to his name.

His speed, panache and perseverance in front of goal hasn’t gone unnoticed by top European clubs.

Barcelona want a replacement for the ageing Luis Suarez and reportedly want Osimhen for that purpose while Arsenal Football club doesn’t seem convinced by Nicholas Pepe and want a Osimhen who they believe has more tenacity in front of goal, in January, a deal that might be financially difficult for the London club.

Speaking about a possible transfer out of Lille in January 2020, Osimhen revealed that it was out of his hands and entirely up to his club.

In an interview with French magazine/website, foot-sur7 Monday, Osimhen stated :
”I had confidence in myself and the experiences in Wolsfburg and Charleroi helped me. The most important thing was to play fast.

“I’ve always been ready to take the stage … If big clubs look at me, it’s great for me. But I am well in Lille. The club will decide if I stay or leave. I will not object.”
