Mbaka cancels reopening of Adoration Ministry

The reknown Catholic Church Priest – Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, who is also the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), has cancelled the plan to reopen the programme of the ministry.

Stakeholders of the ministry had earlier resolved to reopen the ministry’s programme with Sunday Masses from July 5, 2020 following the lifting of ban on religious gathering as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

But Mbaka, in a statement he personal signed on Wednesday, said, “considering the peculiarity of the Adoration Ministry and her unique modus operandi (method of operation), we concluded that the coast is not yet clear for the reopening of the ministry on July 5, as earlier agreed.

“The unhealthy rising cases of the COVID-19 pandemic vis-à-vis the need for more time needed by the ministry to put adequate measures for prevention of spread of the virus as recommended by the World Health Organization have made it imperative to put on hold our planned reopening of the ministry.”
