Motivational Monday #MM Why most people don’t like Monday

Times and times again you find people jubilating or expressing their excitement whenever the weekend is approaching, people have even done so much as creating banners, songs and post or other things to celebrate the weekend.

Although there is no denying the fact that the weekend comes with exciting events such as socialising with family and friends, partying, clubbing for some people, for some, it’s just rest, rest, rest, while for some people it’s a time for self reflection, improvement and strategising or re-strategising for progress.

It is important to also note that, some people do not know or pay attention to the difference, probably due to the nature of their job or business, or other personal reasons.

The big question at hand is, What has Monday done?

Why are people not always excited and eager to see Monday as they are to see Friday? I’ve heard people say thank God it’s Friday, but hardly have I heard anyone say thank God it’s Monday, Why?

Well, I figured there is a million and one reason why most people don’t like Monday, and the most important one Include;

*Monday signifies the end of enjoyment. Naturally, the human nature is prone to laziness, the love for pleasure with little or no pressure at all. The weekend avail man that opportunity while the weekdays beginning from Monday signifies a temporary end to those pleasurable activities.

*Monday is the beginning of Boredom. For most people, Monday and the days that follows before the weekend are agents of boredom, as some people are so used to their daily work routine that it has become uneventful, no fun, no motivation and of course not checking themselves up, even on their spare time at work.

*Lack of Passion for Jobs Engaged in. We must all agree that this is very key, most people don’t like monday because they’re not passionate about what they do.

We’re in a country where 65% of the population are engaged in their job just for survival, for the money and nothing more!

A teacher, who is passionate about teaching, impacting knowledge would enjoy the weekdays more than the weekend, and would gladly look forward to Monday approaching to meeting the students again.

It is the same for anyone who loves what he or she does.

For those who see monday as the end of enjoyment, we implore you to see the better side of monday, as the beginning of putting thoughts into action, a day for creative beginning for progress. And be sure you’re really progressing not just moving.

For the bored, do things differently so you can get different and more amazing results. Make your days at your job fun and eventful.

You can start by loving yourself and loving the job.

Next week on #MM we’ll talk about why you should love monday.
