Ned Nwoko loses Senatorial seat.

The Court of Appeal has reversed the judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja which made Ned Nwoko a Senator representing the Delta North Senatorial District.

Ned Nwoko was said to have contested alongside Peter Nwaoboshi the Chairman, Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC), who was also representing the Delta North Senatorial district until he was sacked by the High Court. The both contested for the primaries under PDP which Ned Nwoko won as the flag bearer representing the Zone.

Justice Mohammed Idris nullified Ned Nwoko’s emergence as a the Senator-elect owing to the fact that as at the time the matter was instituted at the Federal High Court, the case was statute barred and Ned Nwoko was supposed to have brought the case forward before the expiration of the 14 days expiration date.
