Oldest prisoner regains freedom in Enugu state.

The Ex convict, Pa Celestine Egbohuche who was sentenced to death but has spent 19 years in prison already, regained freedom yesterday Thursday June 6, 2019.

The Old man gained his freedom after Ex Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha granted him state pardon before leaving office.

His case was presented by an NGO, Global Society for Anti-corruption(GSAC). The old man is said to be 88 years.

The excited old man, said;

I’m so grateful to God for this day. I’m the happiest human being on Earth” Celestine told newsmen

The Ex convict hails from Amachara-Owerre, in Imo state. He and his son were sentenced to death for plotting murder years ago.

After his release, he was rushed to st. Daniels hospital in Enugu state, where he is receiving proper medical care.
