SAD: Man commits suicide after his newly wedded wife allegedly confessed to be pregnant for another man

A man identified as David Jiet Chawul, from Agaar community of Rumbek, has committed suicide just two days after his wedding.

David, a graduate of New Generation University College, Ethiopia, got married to his wife,Rebecca Ekuen, on August 10, in Juba, Republic of South Sudan.

He took his life on evening of August 12, after his wife allegedly confessed that she was carrying another man’s child.

Mr. David Jiet was Gen. Saed Chawul’s biological brother, former Inspector General of Police.

The family described the incident as “unfortunate and untimely”
