Truck driver crushes a soldier to death in Abeokuta
A military officer was crushed to death by a truck, around 10:30 am today, at Iyana Mortuary junction in Abeokuta.
The military officer identified as R. A. Nata’ala was riding on a bike when the driver of the truck with plate number, JJJ 833 XW, lost control of the vehicle and ran over him .
The driver reportedly fled the scene after realising that he killed a soldier.
The corpse of the late soldier has since been taken off the scene by the police and efforts are being made to tow the truck from the gutter.
