Two charred bodies found in Johannesburg store

Two charred bodies have been found in a shop in the Johannesburg township of Alexandra, bringing the death toll from xenophobic attacks to seven.

Johannesburg Metro police spokesman, Wayne Minnaar, made this known to newsmen on Wednesday.

“Yes, it is confirmed that two bodies were found in a shop, they were burnt out,” Wayne said.

The bodies were found by people scavenging for scrap metal after foreign-owned shops were attacked and set ablaze on Monday.
