Two of Evan’s Ex gang members sentenced to 41years in jail by lagos high court .

The two men identified as Kelvin Emenike Ukoh and Emeka Obasi who were both members of a gang lead by the billionaire kidnapper Chukwudimeme Onwuamadike (Evans) ,have been sentenced to 41years imprisonment by a lagos State high court . They were convicted of abduction of Ugoje Jude who is a shipping agent and his staff ,miss piriye Gogo in August 3 , 2012 .

Delivering her judgement on Monday , at a sitting in ikeja high court in lagos State , justice Taiwo Oluwatoyin sentenced Ukoh and Obasi to 5 years imprisonment for conspiracy , 15 years for kidnapping and 21 years for armrobbery .

The three others ,igbani, Osuagwu and Ngozi who were arraigned along side with them in 2013 were found not guilty and so were discharged and acquitted by the court .

In the court Miss Ugoje gave account of how she was almost raped by the convicts but was saved by the police men on patrol after they took away Jude at gun point .

Jude also testified in court and said that his kidnappers demanded N10m ransom before he could be released but after bargaining , they accepted 5million Naira .

After listening to their testimonies , the judge stated that the prosecution could not prove that the three who were acquitted had links to the crimes they were charged with .
