UPDATE: 12 more bodies recovered from the collapsed building in Jos, Plateau State

Director of search and rescue, Plateau State Emergency Management Agency,SEMA, Mrs Junni Bala, has confirmed that Kabiru Nalele(the house owner), with his two wives and nine others died in the collapsed building.

A combined team had on Monday evening recovered 4 bodies from the collapsed building located at Butcher Line in Jos North Local government area of Plateau State.

On resumption of the rescue operation on Tuesday, 6 more bodies were recovered including the body of the owner of the house, Kabiru.

Mrs Bala also confirmed that four other people who were critically injured were taken to the Hospital and are receiving treatment.

She said:

The two-storey building located at Butcher Line, Dilimi in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State fell at about 6pm local time trapping many.

Rescuers recovered four corpses on Monday night from the rubble before discovering six others on Tuesday. Four other people were critically injured in the disaster.
