Video: Bus passenger repeatedly punches bus driver who ‘asked him to turn down music’

A shameful footage has emerged of a bus passenger assaulting an off-duty bus driver just because he asked him to turn his music down.
The shocking video shows a man repeatedly hitting the driver on the back of the head on the top of a moving double decker.

The incident believed to have happened on the top deck of a First Bus in Leeds was shared on social media by Shelby Rebecca Tolhurst who claimed not to be inside the bus at the time the incident occurred .

The clip which has drawn widespread disgust, started by showing the attacker repeatedly punching the driver on the back of the head.
The attacker appears to say: “You think you’re f ****** big, don’t you?”
Stunned passengers can be heard wailing as the violence continues.

The attacker can be seen clawing at the victim’s face and thrusting his head towards the window before the off-duty man tries to get his balance to push back.

Moments later, an onlooker can be heard saying ‘what the f**k’ as the driver tries to pin the aggressor’s arms in the air and detain him.
The struggle continues for sometime as the pair appear to squash another passenger into his seat.

The battered and bruised bus driver then grabs the attacker by the head and appears to mutter a few words at the man.

The man wearing black then shouts at the bus driver “f*** off!” before punching him across the face twice.

Police are asking for help to try and identify the attacker.
A statement read: “Police are investigating an assault, which happened on a bus on Wellington Road, Leeds on 18 SeptemberSeptember at 13.50.

“A man in his 50s was assaulted and left with minor injuries.
“The offender made off from the scene. Police are following positive lines of enquiries.
“Anyone who witnessed the assault is asked to contact police quoting log 13190480151 on 101 or use the Live Chat facility at www.westyorkshire.police.uk/contact-us.”
