VP Osinbajo visits parents of Channels TV Corps member killed in the violent clash between Police and Shi’ites

The Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo on Sunday paid a condolence visit to the parents of the youth Corps member, Precious Owolabi, killed during a violent clash between Police and the Shiite members. READ HERE

Owolabi who was undergoing his primary assignment with Channels TV was shot and killed while reporting the clash between Police and Shi’ites.

President Buhari represented by Osinbajo advised the family to take heart, saying that the loss would never be forgotten .

The Vice President was accompanied by Gov.Nasiru el-Rufai of Kaduna State, Council Chairmen of Zaria, Sabongari and Kudan Local government Areas.

Taking to his verified Twitter handle @ ProfOsinbajo on Sunday evening, the VP tweeted :

Nothing will ever compare with the pain of losing a child.

This evening, I visited the family of Precious Owolabi and as a nation, we grieve the loss of this bright young man.

May the Almighty God comfort the family and loved ones.
