#Xenophobia: South African Police allegedly shoot Ghanaian footballer in both legs (See photo)

A Ghanaian footballer in South Africa identified as Arthur was shot in both legs at close – range by South African police near Kempston Park on Sunday as xenophobic attacks continues in the country .

The footballer who has been playing football in South Africa was shot for no obvious reason.

According to him, he did not commit any crime or argued with the police before he was shot.

Ghana Web learnt that Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa, H. E. George Ayisi Boateng, rushed Mr. Arthur to the Grenclof Hospital in Pretoria upon hearing the sad news.

Hon. Ayisi Boateng who was pictured with Arthur while on his hospital bed expressed sadness over the incident.
