“You are a devil for demolishing our Mosque” – Alhaji Asari Dokubo to Governor Wike

Alhaji Asari Dokubo is on the news again, this time to condemn the actions of the governor of Rivers State, Governor Yesome Wike.

The news got out last week that the government of Porthacourt ordered the demolition of the central mosque at Trans-Amadi.

It was alleged that the demolition was done on the grounds that the said mosque did not have permit.

Shortly after that, an upsurge of demonstration from the northern Muslims on social media and through other medium forced the government to make a quick public announcement concerning the issue.

The government informed members of the public to disregard those rumours making the rounds that it did not demolish any mosque in the said area.
Since then, different photos of the presumed demolished mosque have been surfacing online.

With no accurate information, the second most popular religious group and its members have been calling for the persecution of the perpetrators of the demolition be it the governor or not.
Alhaji Asari Dokubo has however claimed that it was Governor Wike who demolished the mosque.

He said “Wike is a devil for demolition of our mosque” he further stated that “I am a member of the congregation of the Trans-Amadi central mosque. That is where i pray with my family … Wike claiming that there was no mosque is a lie. He is lying and you know Wike you are lying… we legally acquire that land for the mosque”
