Federal Government official Twitter handle is now @NigeriaGov, no more @AsoRock

The Federal Government of Nigeria said on Thursday that the name of its official Twitter handle has been changed from @Asorock to @NigeriaGov.

This was made known in a tweet posted by @NigeriaGov

The Federal government said the change was to show that the handle @NigeriaGov ‘represents’ and ‘exits on its behalf ‘.

NOTIFICATION: Twitter Handle Change | From @AsoRock to @NigeriaGov, to more accurately reflect the fact that this handle represents, and exists on behalf of, the Federal Government of Nigeria. Thank you for following,” the tweet said.
