Four South African police officers arrested over gruesome murder of Nigerian man, Pius Ezekwem

The four police officers who shot and killed Nigerian businessman, Pius Ezekwem, have been arrested by South African government.

46-year-old Pius was murdered last weekend in the presence of his family members in his home by eight police officers.

Pius, who runs a chain of bread and breakfast guesthouse in the Eastern Cape Province in South Africa, was picked up by the police from a Nigerian eatery where he was hanging out with other Nigerians.

The officer reportedly dragged him to his house and killed him there.

Initially, no arrest was made in connection with the killing of Pius.

However, after a protest from the Nigerian government, four police officers have now been arrested and will be charged to court.

Abike Dabiri who is the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, gave an update on the case via her Twitter handle.
