The Supreme Court has set aside the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and it’s governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, in 2018 , challenging the election of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of All Progress Congress.
Recall that in 2018, Ademola Adeleke dissatisfied with the September 2018 election filed a petition at the tribunal .
The tribunal in its ruling in March declared Adeleke winner of the election. The APC candidate Adegboyega appealed the verdict at the Court of Appeal.
In May, the Court of Appeal gave judgement in favour of Adegboyega.
The PDP candidate then filed an appeal at the Supreme Court .
At the Supreme Court today, five judges out of the seven judges on the panel supported Oyetola while Adeleke was left with two.
