Super Eagles Sends The South Africa’s Team Home, Qualifies For SemifinalS

It was another moment of celebration not just for the Super Eagles, but for Nigerians, as their team qualifies for the 2019 AFCON semifinals.

After winning the Cameroons on Saturday at round 16, the Super Eagles were faced with another challenge of winning another strong team from the South Africa.

During the match that saw to the victory of the Super Eagles over South Africa, the coach Mr. Gernot Rohr, made two changes to the team. Ola Aina was replaced by Jamilu Collins, while Samuel Chukwueze got the nod ahead of fellow attacker, Simon Moses.

The first goal was scored at the 27th minute of the commencement of the game with Chukwueze’s wriggle through the defence and firing at the second attempt past the South Africa’s goal keeper- Rowen Williams from close range.

The defeated team, scored at second half, thereby equalizing the match at 1:1.

Though, there were couple of chances missed by the Super Eagles, yet, luck was on their side. They were able to score another goal making it 2(Nig):1(S.A).

Thereby sending the South Africa home as they they (Super Eagles), qualifies for the semifinals.
