Imo State Govenor Signs Into Law The Prohibition Of Cash Receipt As Payment .

With the determination of making Imo state better, Gov. Emeka Ihedioha, today, signed into law the prohibition of cash receipt as payment for any service rendered in the state.

This is in accordance with the executive order 005 and also in line with the determination of Ihedioha’s led government in making sure the policy of the Treasurer Singular Account(TSA) is implemented in the state.

It could be remembered that yesterday, the Governor at the state capital Owerri, made it known to the newsmen of his intension of implementing the TSA policy in the state.

This is believed to help in enhancing great transparency and proper accountability in the state.

This decision was prompted on the resumption of Governor Ihedioha to office, who found out that the state government have been running over 250 different accounts.

It strongly assumed that since the TSA is already in operation at the federal level, it will definitely work out well if implemented in Imo State.
